What was Martin Luther against in the Latin Church?
Martin Luther was a German priest who thought that the Latin church is doing things wrong, and that they state that salvation is built off of good deeds. He didn't agree in selling indulgences (a certificate) to shorten purgatory (a waiting room to heaven). This was showing that they were saying that to get to heaven, you must be wealthy. Monks/priests/popes also had mistresses, which Luther frowned on. He thought that they were not actually teaching what the bible taught and when they were they were being hypocrites about it.
