What is a salute?

For females; no Minimum  length, to a maximum bulk of 4 inches. For males; will not exceed 2 1/2 inches in bulk, regardless of length and ¼ inch at natural termination point

What is the T-Shirt?

This Patch is mandatory and will be subdued using the Spice Brown color criteria (cloth) centered at the top of right arm velcro and worn while in–garrison and deployed. 

What is the flag patch?

will be worn outdoors at all times, unless in a designated area. Wil be straight on the head so that the band creates a straight line around the head, parallel to the ground, fit snugly and comfortably around the largest part of the head without bulging or distortion from the intended shape and without excessive gaps 

What are head covers?

responsible to keep their uniform clean, pressed and in good repair. Responsible for knowing authorized uniform combinations and correct placement of ribbons, insignia, badges and other uniform items.

What are members responsibilities?

conservative (moderate, being within reasonable limits; not excessive or extreme) and will not extend downward beyond the lip line of the upper lip or extend sideways beyond a vertical line drawn upward from both corners of the mouth.

What is a mustache?

Must be either all sewn-on or all velcro; mixing of sewn and Velcro is not authorized.

What are tapes and rank?

This patch will be worn on the right side, subdued Spice Brown color, centered in the middle of the velcro area under the U.S. Flag.

What is the unit patch

Will be a single color that does not distinctly contrast with the female Airman’s complexion, detract from the uniform, or be extreme colors without designs or multi-tone colors. Not authorized for males.

What is nail polish?

Will not be on the hands (except one ring on one finger on one hand), head, neck (anything visible above the open collar uniform), face, tongue, lips, eyes, and scalp.

What are tattoos?

One or two may be worn down the member’s back with bulk not exceeding the width of the head and length not extending under arm. Cannot be worn over the shoulder or pulled in front of the body. It must go down the member’s back.

What is braids and/or ponytail

The maximum number of patches that may be worn on each sleeve.

will be zipped no lower than the top of the nametape. The collar will be folded over and resting on the shoulder, chest, and back when the zipper is not completely zipped. The bottom length of the garment will match as closely as possible to the bottom length of the OCP coat. It will be worn with the sleeves down, not pushed or rolled up, and will remain in neat and serviceable condition at all times.

What is the fleece jacket?

What is authorized while walking?

Will be straight and even width (not flared), and will not extend below the bottom of the orifice of the ear opening. Will end in a clean-shaven horizontal line.

Centered in the middle of the velcro area of the left sleeve or, if another patch is present such a duty identifier, this patch will be centered in the remaining velcro area. 

What is the higher headquarters patch?

are not allowed in ear holes outside of the lower earlobes or any other piercing holes visible in uniform (nose, lip, eyebrow etc)

What are transparent spacers?

What is when NOT to wear your uniform?

When authorized for medical reasons, members will keep all facial hair trimmed not to exceed ¼ inch in length.

What are Beards?

What is authorized outer wear?

When worn, all may be worn centered ½ inch above the USAF tape using Spice Brown embroidery on the OCP background. A maximum of two badges may be worn (second will be centered ½ inch above the first).

What are occupational badges?

Will not be worn around the neck or on top/back of head or exposed hanging on the uniform. May be a conservative color: black, brown, white, dark blue, gray or transparent material, gold or silver wire. Brand-name may be worn with small logo. Logo may contrast with frame color or lenses (conservative colors/small logos; black, brown, matte silver/gold . Not authorized in formation.
