Is the "Main Idea" ALWAYS found in the beginning of a text?
No! The main idea can be found anywhere in the text, although it is usually found in the beginning OR the end of the text.

It has to have the same number as the numerator AND the denominator. For example, 500/500 or 5/5 = 1.

You have to multiply the numerator 1 by the SAME number as you multiply the denominator 2 by. For example, 1/2 -> 1 x 5 = 5, 2 x 5 = 10, so 1/2 = 5/10.

When we are finding the "main idea" we are trying to identify what the story is MOSTLY about. When we are finding the "lesson, message, or moral" of a story, we are trying to figure out the "big picture" that the author wanted us to learn from the story.
