What if I need groceries?
The basic needs dept. does partnerships with community organizations to host drive in pop up pantries. We also have a list of food banks that exist in the local area.
What if I need help with housing?
You can submit a referral to the basic needs office asking for help on receiving temporary housing or permanent supportive housing
What is financial literacy?
Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing
What is GoPass?
It is a program where you can receive a free unlimited pass for both Metro bus and rail, City of Commerce, Culver City Bus, LADOT Dash, Montebello Bus, Norwalk Transit and Santa Monica Blue Bus

What can I do if I have emergency food needs?
You can sign up through the Basic Needs website for a referral with either an affordable or free food event referral
Are there resources outside of school that I can use?
Yes, there are community housing organizations that can help you as well.
What resources can I get regarding financial literacy?
The basic needs office has online resources regarding free courses on how to budget ex. Crash Course: which is an online money guide that helps students budget their money

The Next Up office in CAFYES Corner has a pantry with snacks and non-perishables.
How can I receive the GoPass?
You must be enrolled in a current or future semester (credit or noncredit courses) and your home school is designated as Harbor College. Pick up your Fareless Go Pass at the Business Office (Student Union Building).
You will need to bring a valid picture identification and student ID number
