Myth: Only practitioners who have a 100% match to requirements can be cross-staffed (i.e. keywords in resume, availability date, etc.)

Cross-staffing can also provide growth opportunities for practitioners with adjacent or developing skills that may be looking for stretch roles and willing to learn new skills

While having more real time data at the RM fingertips, leaders can also leverage the different views and see the same updates for those who like to have some self serve options.

Myth: DPN searches are best used for cross MF searches

DPN can be leveraged for all staffing searches- to find proven specialists, learn more about resources, their backgrounds, skills, areas of interest & experiences, and identify project team members to support client pursuits and engagements as well as learning badges. Truly a one stop shop for all people search

Myth : We have 150 contractors billing in ETP today, which means we should be able to replace these contractors with FTE to increase utilization.

Contractors and FTE are not a 1:1 replacement. Typically, contractors are brought in for domain-rich expertise to augment our delivery teams with differentiated skills, experience, language proficiencies and/or security clearance. They could be operational or advisory in nature, and are often difficult to replace with FTE. The cost and billing differences between FTEs and contractors also make it challenging to make a switch meaningful, for if you do manage to replace, you will often sacrifice profitability for utilization.

Myth: Resource management is mostly about following up on SWIFT delinquencies & scheduling people’s time in STAFFIT.

It’s about optimizing capacity, balancing workloads, aligning resources to strategic priorities while considering practitioner preferences – not just follow ups
