The hilum is located between your fifth and seventh thoracic vertebrae in your spine.

Bronchi

Bronchi are the main airways into the lungs. 

Bronchi is the plural form of bronchus.

Bronchi branch out throughout both lungs. The right lung, which has one additional lobe, has more bronchi than the left lung.

What are the air sacs of the lung?

The Alveoli. These are small air sacs within the lungs. These little guys are the 'Masters of the Universe" in your respiratory system.

They are located at the end of the bronchial tubes and aid in transporting oxygen. Your alveoli expand as you breathe to bring in the oxygen, and contract when you exhale.

When your alveoli are damaged, this can lead to Emphysema, which makes it hard to breathe.

Emphysema and Bronchitis are both conditions of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Smoking is a leading reason for damage to the alveoli.

The Epiglottis, which is a thin flap of cartilage near the base of your tongue. 

It keeps food and liquids from going down your windpipe (trachea) when you swallow.

What are the thin hairs attached to the mucous membrane epithelium lining the respiratory tract?

Cilia.

They are a defense mechanism to catch invaders/germs before entering the body. They also are coated with a thin mucous layer to help trap germs. They also help filter out dust.
