This event is a speech written by the speaker informs the audience about a topic of their interest, and can use a visual aid.
What is Informative?
Because we only offer truly 4 types of debate, take this as a free points card where you have to give one fact that has not been previously stated in the before picked questions.

How many days does a tournament tend to last for?
1-2 days (with national competitions being up to 4)

What is Humorous Interpretation?
This event is not prepared and the speaker is given a topic before the round starts that they have to prepare a short speech about.

This type of debate is incredibly long and is a mock legislative assemply where students propose laws and debate about them.

This event also contains a speech written by the speaker where it is meant to inform or persuade the auidence, but you cannot use a visual aid.

This event is where one delivers a speech or a portion of one that has been previously delivered before, this is also an 8-10 minute speech.

What is Prose?
This event is where the speaker is given 3 questions, of which they pick one of to create a speech about. The speaker is given 30 minutes of prep time to create their speech.

This debate event focuses most on philosophy and questions about morality.

The tournaments! High-school S&D do multiple tournaments throughout the year while middle-school S&D only does one tournament in the year
