MODAL VERBS
The modal verb we use to talk about general obligations.
HAVE TO
EX: We have to speak English in the course.
We use .... after adjectives
An infinitive with to
Ex: It's important not to be late.
We use the ... to talk about a possible situation in the future and its consequence.
FIRST CONDITIONAL
Ex: If I miss the last bus, I will get a taxi.
We use ... to talk about things that are happening now
PRESENT CONTINOUS
Ex: He's looking for a new job.
The modal verb we use to give somebody advice.
SHOULD
Ex: You shouldn´t drink coffee in the evening.
We use... as the subject or object of a sentence
A GERUND
Ex: Exercising is good for our health.
We use the ... to talk about an imaginary or hypothetical future situation and its consequence.
SECOND CONDITIONAL
Ex: If I had more time, I would do more exercise.
We use ... to talk about finished actions in the past.
PAST SIMPLE
Ex: We saw a good film last night.

WILL / WON'T
Ex: It's a great book. I'm sure you will like it.
The modal verb or phrase that we use to talk about things that happened repeatedly for a long period in the past but they are not true now
USED TO / DIDN´T USE TO
Ex: My daughter didn't use to like vegetables, but now she loves them.
We use ... after question verbs (what, why, where, when,etc)
AN INFINITIVE WITH TO
Ex: I don't know where to go or what to do.

IF + PAST, WOULD/ WOULDN'T + VERB
Ex: If you didn't go to bed so late, you wouldn't be so tired in the morning.
We use ... to talk about actions or sates that started in the past and are true now.
PRESENT PERFECT
Ex: I've worked in the company since 2005.

IF I WERE YOU
Ex: If I were you, I would tell him the truth.
We use ... when we are talking about the past and we want to talk about an earlier past action.
PAST PERFECT
Ex: When she went to class, she realized that she hadn't brought her book.
