What is the first thing you should do when you come in?

No. Every student will have assignments based on what they "need".
We will all move through the same rotations, but you will have different worksheets.

Once I have called your number to get your backpack, do you have to wait for me to tell you to start the Dismissal Process?
Nope!
Once I call your number, I want you to complete the process independently! By the end of the 8 minutes, everyone should be in their proper line.
If you notice someone is not doing their work and messing around, should you try to intervene?
When should you speak up?
Nope.
I promise I am monitoring behaviors. I will do what I need to do to intervene, but sometimes you don't see everything I do because I want to respect your privacy.
Just ignore the behaviors and continue working :)
Always speak up when you see someone attempt to hurt others or themselves!
Do you get WIN time every day?
Yes! Even on Wednesday (It's only for 15 minutes that day)
How long is morning settle in?
10 minutes. First 10 minutes of class.

Get your backpack and grab all your materials (water bottle, homework, take home folder, lunch boxes).
Wipe your table and chair with a baby wipe.

It means you can do that thing smoothly and easily.
What are you allowed to do during morning settle in?
Put materials away, turn in homework, complete Bonus Bell Work, and read independently.
How many dismissal lines will we have?

Walkers (they leave the room first). They go to the front office.
Bus students (they leave second). They go to the bench by the bathrooms.
Parent pick up (they leave and stay with me!). We will walk to the playground together. Please wait by our 4th grade sign and listen for your name!
If I am in a small group and you need help, what should you do?
What should you not do?
You will use the ASL help signal and wait till I can help you after my group time.
If there are no other problems you can answer on your own, then grab an early finisher worksheet or work on your Choice Board work while you wait for me.
You should not get up to chat with friends, sit and wait, zone out, or talk to your group!
