Where are we going for our field trip?
We will attend the SCAD Language Studio Panel of Graduates on Saturday Oct. 5th 1:00 p.m. at Arnold Hall Auditorium.
We will also attend an event at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival on Saturday, Oct. 26 - Saturday, Nov. 2. (More details on the event will be posted on the class Blackboard)
How many extra help sessions will the professor offer? When will they be?
Total of 2.
We will have an extra help session on Friday, at 10/3 at 11:00 a.m and on Friday, 11/7 at 11:00 a.m.
Other sessions will be arranged as needed.

When are the ELO due?
One ELO must be uploaded by Friday of Week Five of the quarter, and another by Friday of Week Nine. There is a link on Blackboard to upload your responses. It is called Extended Learning Opportunities.
What are the activities and actions that are rewarded participation points?
They are:
- meaningful contribution in class discussions,
- engaging in class activities each week,
- arriving on time,
- doing homework on time,
- conducting own work.
- speaking English at all times.
What does cheating include?
Cheating, includes, but is not limited to,
(a) the giving or receiving of any unauthorized assistance in producing assignments or taking quizzes, tests or examinations;
(b) dependence on the aid of sources including technology beyond those authorized by the instructor in writing papers, preparing reports, solving problems or carrying out other assignments;
(c) the acquisition, without permission, of tests or other academic material belonging to a member of the university faculty or staff; or
(d) the use of unauthorized assistance in the preparation of works of art.
What are the activities and actions that result in deduction of participation points?
They are:
- using cell phone in class,
- sending late work,
- arriving to class at 011:00 a.m. or after,
- not bringing their own copies of the textbooks to every class,
- not participating and engaging in in-class activities and discussions as well as outside tasks and assignments,
- speaking other languages,
- not doing homework assignments,
- getting outside help,
- sleeping in class.
What does plagiarism include?
Plagiarism, which includes, but is not limited to,
a) the use, by paraphrase or direct quotation, of the published or unpublished work of another person without full and clear acknowledgment,
b) the unacknowledged use of materials prepared by another person or agency engaged in the selling of term papers or other academic materials.
