How did the eyeglasses have an impact on the world 

Eyeglasses helped people see better glasses, glasses are lenses that help aim the light to the retina just like people who don't have glasses also have lenses but inside their eyes. (Example: people that are near their 40s develop something called presbyopia which makes their vision a little more blurry)
