No, Mercury is not hot all the time. Mercury isn't hot all the time because it does not have an atmosphere to trap heat. Instead, Mercury has a thin exosphere, this leads to the heat being radiated directly into space after sunset. This means the temperatures on Mercury get extremely low during the nighttime.
