What is a line segment?
When 2 rays meet at an intersection, they form this. Sometimes it is called a vertex or a corner.
What are angles?
It looks like a ball or a planet. It is round and has no vertices.
What is a sphere?
This triangle has equal sides and equal angles.
What is an equilateral triangle?
This special quadrilateral has 4 equal sides and 4 equal angles. It has 4 right angles and opposite sides are parallel.
What is a square?
At one end is an arrow and the other end is a point. I can only travel in one direction.
What is a ray?
This type of angle is less than 90 degrees. It is small and can be cute.
What is an acute angle?
It has 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges. It looks like a tissue or pencil box. Some of the faces are rectangles and a couple could be squares.
What is a rectangle prism?
This triangle has no sides or angles that are the same size.
What is a scalene triangle?
This quadrilateral has 4 right angles. The opposite sides are parallel and congruent. Some of this can be called a square if all 4 sides are congruent.
What is a rectangle?
These are two lines that meet at a point, just like when 2 streets cross each other at an intersection.
What are intersecting lines?
This angle is wide and greater than 90 degrees but less than 180.
What is an obtuse angle?
It has 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges. All the faces are equal in sizes. These could make a dice or a Rubik's puzzle.
What is a cube?
This triangle has 2 equal sides and 2 equal angles.
What is an isosceles triangle?
This quadrilateral has 4 equal sides. It sometimes resemble a diamond. It does not have to have right angles, but when it does, it can be called a square.
What is a rhombus?
These two lines are always the same distance from each other. They continue forever and will never touch.
What are parallel lines?
This angle can look like a straight line. It is equal to 180 degrees.
What is a straight angle?
The bottom face is a square but the top shapes are triangles. It has 5 vertices, 5 faces, and 8 edges.
What is a (square) pyramid?
This triangle has one right angle.
What is a right triangle?
This quadrilateral looks like a slanted rectangle. It has 2 pairs of parallel sides and no right angles.
What is a parallelogram?
When these 2 lines meet, they form a right angle, sometimes 2 right angles side by side.
What are perpendicular lines?
This angle is exactly 90 degrees. It is part of a rectangle or square.
What are right angles?
This looks like the top of houses or tents. This is a 5 face solid figure with 2 triangle and 3 rectangle faces. It also has 9 edges and 6 vertices.
What is a triangular prism?
This special triangle has a right angle and 2 congruent sides and angles.
What is an isosceles right triangle?
This quadrilateral only has one pair of parallel lines. It may look lopsided. It may resemble the Aztec's pyramid.
