What is a narrative essay?
A narrative essay is a personal account in your own life that is real or make believe. It has a plot, a rising action, a climax, a falling action and a resolution. There is usually a challenge and a lesson learned and or theme.
What do you look for in a text to explain how a theme is developed?
First you have to accurately identify the theme. You do this by understanding what the character's or character learns or the message/big idea the author wants you to know. We observe how the main characters grow, change or solve problems in the story and then infer how that it is done in the beginning , middle and end of a story.
