What is first person?
Author's may use this to let the reader know what the main idea of the paragraph will be. It is usually in the beginning or at the end of the paragraph.
What is a topic sentece?
These are the words that tell what the characters should be doing while on stage. These words are usually in (parenthesis). They may also tell you about the setting.
What are stage directions?
The person telling the story/speaking in a text.
What is narrator?
These words are located at the top of dictionary pages.
What are guide words?
The reason plays/dramas have acts and scenes.
What is to change the setting?
Authors sometimes includes this hidden message or lesson in their stories.
What is a theme?
The words that are with an illustration or picture.
What is a caption?
Lines that are spoken between two or more characters. They may be in quotation marks.
What is dialogue?
The point of view when the narrator is not part of the story.
What is third person?
The beat or rhythm of a poem.
What is meter?
Writers organize information in different ways. This text structure gives you information in order and usually has dates or words like first, then.
What is chronological order or sequence?
The events that happen in the play - including the main characters, setting, conflict, and resolution.
