Every 2 hours per DHS.

Swimsuit, towel, and water shoes. They MUST have water shoes. No flip-flops or bare feet allowed.

NO. You must go outside if you are able, even if it is only for 15 minutes.

What kind of shoes do children and staff need to wear while at Lionheart?

Close-toed with a strap.

Where can staff use the restroom?

There are 2 bathrooms located in the breakroom and one in the hallway. The bathrooms inside the classrooms should only be utilized by children.

Where should creams/sunscreens/chapsticks/lotions be kept?

In a locked cabinet, out of children's reach.

How often do you do name-to-face?

Hourly in the classroom, 15 minutes outside.

Who changes poopy diapers?

Everyone changes poopy diapers. Zebra room down should have primary care lists and each teacher is responsible for a designated set of children.

Who is responsible for daily playground checks?

The first group of the day to use that playground. These can be found inside the tiger room door, inside the monkey room door, and next to the door in the back hallway.

What is a "tour-ready" classroom?

Teachers are engaged with the children, the classroom is clean, Say hello to the potential family.

When do first-aid backpacks leave the room?

Anytime you leave the room with children.

How often and when should sunscreen be applied?

Sunscreen should be applied every 80 minutes and when the UV index is 5 or above.

What should you do at naptime?

Cleaning- toys, shelves, sweep, mop, trash- these should be done daily. Create a schedule for your class. 

Art prep- prep art for the next day or week.

Each classroom is responsible for their own laundry.

Someone is standing in the entryway that you have not met or seen before. What do you do?

You will find either Emily or Alex who will then ID this person. If Emily or Alex are not available you will find the closer (Haley, Kai, Jasmine, Michelle, Melissa, Abby). 

You will NOT open the door and let them in under any circumstance.

In the First-aid backpacks of the home classroom of the child with the allergy.

Your team must fill out an accident/incident report correctly. What part goes home with the parent? Does it have to go home?

The yellow copy goes home with the parent. The yellow copy MUST be handed to the parent. What they do with it from there is up to them.

How do you read the weather chart?

You will go to accuweather.com and find the current temperature (NOT the real feel) and humidity percentage. You will then go to the weather chart and find the closest matching temperature on the vertical and the closest matching humidity on the horizontal. You will then trace a line from each number until your fingers meet.

0-2 yrs: 1:4

2 yrs: 1:6
