How is Jesus similar to a shepherd?
Like a shepherd, Jesus cares for his people. He provided all that they need for their physical needs (food and water, shelter, protection) and also their spiritual needs (peace, comfort, patience, self control...)
Jesus performed a miracle and fed over 5,000 people with just 5 small loaves of bread and 2 preserved fish. He multiplied them and there was so much food that everyone was able to eat and there were even leftovers! How much food was collected after everyone had eaten?
There were 12 baskets full of leftover food.
In the parable of the Wise and Foolish man, the wise man built his house on a solid rock foundation, but the foolish man built his on a sandy foundation. What does the foundation represent?
The rock represents the words of Jesus, the Bible. The sand represents putting your trust and faith in anything other than God. Being disobedient to God’s word.
Psalm 23 verse 3 says "He leads me in paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake."
What is righteousness?
Righteousness is doing what is right in the eyes of God. We learn what is right and wrong from reading the Bible.
What does it mean if your name tag has a bike sticker on it?
A bike sticker means that you can go home on your own, either walking, biking, scootering, etc.
What does it mean to be "in the valley"?
When things are difficult. Examples: a family member is very sick. Being bullied by kids a school
Jesus died on the cross and then rose from the dead how many days later?
Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days.
In the Parable of The Unforgiving Servant, there was servant who worked for a rich man and he owed a LOT of money to his boss. The boss told his servant it was time to pay his debt or go to jail. The servant begged for the boss to have mercy on him. The boss decided to give the man GRACE, and forgive his debt.
What is grace?
When something is given to a person who doesn’t deserve it.
What is Easter and why do we celebrate it?
Easter is the holiday when we celebrate how Jesus rose from the dead. We celebrate it because without his sacrifice, dying on the cross to pay for our sins, we wouldn't be able to spend eternity in heaven with him!

A shepherd used a rod and a staff as tools for keeping his sheep. How does he use the rod (the short stick that is wide on one end, and narrow on the other)?
Shepherds will throw their rod at predators to scare them away, or will throw them in front a sheep that is wandering away, to get them to go back to the herd.
