How does one sign up for Pling™?
Sign up by downloading the Pling™ app, linking a bank account, adding teens, and ordering a card.
Can a parent share their Pling™ account with another parent?
No, only one parent is allowed to access the account per mobile number and device.
Can the teens’ payroll be deposited into the Pling™ account?
No, Pling™ does not currently offer direct deposit capabilities for payrolls.
What should a customer do do if you see a fraudulent transaction on their account?
Lock your card in the app and contact Bangor Support for assistance.
What are the benefits of Pling™ over a regular debit card?
Pling™ offers budget and spending categories, a safe purchasing environment, and provides parents oversight of their teen's financial activities.
What information is required to sign up?
Mobile number, name, email, teen’s names, physical address, date of birth, and SSN.
How do you check the balance in the family wallet?
Log in to the app to view the most current family wallet balance and any teen card balances.
Are there any restrictions on what Pling™ cards can purchase?
Yes, restrictions include no wires, lotteries, gambling, and certain cashback options.
How do you change the card’s PIN?
There is no PIN for the card unless set by the user, this can be changed under the card settings in the app.
At what age can teens start using Pling™?
Teens must be at least 13 years old to participate in Pling™.
What is the cost of using Pling™?
There is a monthly fee of $3.99, currently waived for early adopters.
What is the daily spending cap for the teen debit card?
he teen debit card has a spending cap of $2,500 per day.
Can Pling™ cards be used for ATM withdrawals?
No, ATM transactions are disabled for Pling™ cards.
What steps should be taken if a funding source link error occurs?
Verify the bank credentials and ensure the correct banking information is used.
Can a teen use pling if they don't have a phone?
Yes! Only the parent is required to log into the app, in order to fund the account and order a card for their teen.
What are the password requirements for Pling?
Minimum of 8 characters, including 1 number, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 uppercase letter.
How can I close a Pling account?
Branches and Bangor Support can close/deactivate a plingTM account within Admiral. This functionality will not be available if any account (Family Wallet or Teen Account) has a balance. If an account has a balance, a manual "unload" must be requested. The Branch Support Unit can assist with these requests.
What type of purchase can you toggle restrictions for?
Fast Food, Online Purchases, Online Gaming, Gas Stations, Grocery Store and Restaurants
What steps should you take if a non-customer states they received an error message that reads " Your pling registration is being reviewed. Thank you!" or "KYC Maximum attempts reached,"
Ask the non-customer their address, if they are outside of ME, NH or NC, then the customer should be encouraged to re-apply at a later time as they are currently outside of our footprint for Pling. If they are within, ME, NH or NC they will be on Bangor Support's outreach list to review their application

Inform the customer that their registration has been placed on hold for review before the registration process can be completed, utilize the RSM to submit the correct template to Product Management.
