Using two patient identifiers, Screen locked when unattended, Papers containing PHI flipped over or covered, Lab labels not left at printer, dispose of PHI in shred bin, and avoid discussion PHI in public areas
What is considered an event that should be reported?
Anything that occurs that is not consistent with the desired operation of the medical center, or any event causing harm or injury as the result of medical intervention, rather than the underlying medical condition.
What is an SDS and where do you find them?
Staff can clearly explain that an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) provides information on chemical hazards, safe handling, storage, spill response, and exposure controls. Staff can accurately describe how to access SDS documents through The Source or St Luke's Apps and Tools → Safety Data Sheet & Chemical Intake.
