What is a URL?

Part of the internet with linked pages, picture, sounds, videos, etc.

A tiny picture on the screen

The most important part of the computer. It is the central processor.
What is the CPU?
The programs that run on a computer
What is software?
A portable diskette to store information on. Not used very often anymore.
What is a floppy?
Copy data from one computer system to another, typically over the Internet.
What is download?
Temporary storage on chips.
What is memory?
A mistake in a computer program.
What is a bug?
A document that puts data in rows and columns
What is a spreadsheet?
A portable disc that stores about 650 MB of read-only information
What is a CD-ROM?
A software program you use to explore the web. Examples are Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.
What is a browser?
Tiny dot of light on the screen
What is a pixel?
A small piece of semiconducting material (usually silicon) on which an integrated circuit is embedded.
What is a chip?
The program you would most likely use to type an essay.
What is Microsoft Word or Google Docs?
A kind of memory that holds files while you are using them - Random Access Memory
What is RAM?
To communicate with someone by typing rather than talking face-to-face.
What is chat?

What is a cable?
