Dragonflies have been around for millions of years, but in the distant past, they were much bigger than the ones you see today. Ancient dragonflies had wings that were about a foot long!

You can often tell how old a mountain range is by the way it looks. Mountains that were formed recently usually have sharp, jagged peas that are high. However, older mountains have been worn down, so they are smoother and lower. New and old mountain ranges look very different from one another.
