List one difference between the North and the South.
The North did not allow slavery, the South had slavery.
The North had more factories, the South had more farms/plantations.
The Southern economy was driven by the cotton industry and slavery. The Northern economy was driven by factories and the invention of machines (the Industrial Revolution).
