The robber tried to steal money from a bank, however, it was a cashless bank. This plays into the theme that not everything is how it seems because the robber thought the bank was a normal bank, however, it was not.

It repaired her life, although it was a small thing to help her escape

After his death she went to the bridge where she witnessed the police officer save Nadia, the bank robber in her youth. After 10 years she finally reads the letter. All the hostages played into this idea to help the robber. This is an example of both themes because it seemed to the officer that there were only 8 people (things aren’t always how they seem) and the hostages helped the robber escape (little things can go a long way).

Her kids were taken from her and she ended up attempting to rob a bank for an exact amount of money. This represents the theme that "life doesn't turn out the way you expect" because all this happened so sudden for Nadia thus she made impulsive decisions.
