What is personification?

Who is Ponyboy?
The type of conflict where there is a struggle between a person or an outside force.
What is external conflict?
a direct comparison of two different things
What is metaphor?
This part of speech is an action, occurrence, or state of being. "Stomp" is an example.
What is a verb?
The most intense or exciting high point of a story (sometimes called the turning point).
What is climax?
Johnny's last words to Ponyboy.
What is "Stay gold, Ponyboy"?
This is a sign or warning of what's going to happen next.
What is foreshadowing?
extreme exaggeration
What is hyperbole?
This part of speech describes (or modifies) a noun. An example is "awesome."

The main events of a story/the storyline.

The reason Ponyboy and Johnny ran away to Windrixville.

When characters talk to each other out loud in a story or in a script.
What is dialogue?
a comparison between 2 unlike things using "like" or "as"
What is simile?
This part of speech modifies (describes) any other part of speech, but is usually used to modify a verb. This part of speech usually ends in -ly.

A universal message/big idea of a story.
