Trouble sleeping, missing school, stomach pain, drop in performance, and lowered self-esteem.
What are short-term effects?
They're harmful generalizations. Stereotypes are not true of everyone. People might judge others who don't fit a stereotype. People who believe stereotypes limit themselves and others.

Speaking up when someone uses stereotypes. Reporting harassment when you notice it or experience it. Support people who experience it.
What are gender-based harassment prevention strategies?
Students reporting harassment. Avoiding using stereotypes and harassing others. Encouraging classmates not to harass others.
