If I forgot to put my name on my paper where should I look for it?
Where do I get shared supplies that I am using in class that day such as markers and lab supplies?
Any special supplies that I need for the day will be in a bin in the center of my lab station. This bin and the supplies in it belong to my group only and I am expected to return them neatly at the end of class. I am to share the supplies with my group members.
What is the call back in Ms.Brown's class.

If I need Ms. Brown's help or attention at any point during class what do I do?
Raise my hand and silently wait.
If supplies is missing from my lab station what do I do?
Have one group member raise their hand and silently wait for Ms.Brown to come over and replace the supplies.
How many days to have to complete my assignments if I was absent?
1 week from the day you were absent. AT THE START OF CLASS.
Example: if you were absent on Tuesday your assignments are due on Tuesday of the following week.
I forgot a pencil...what do I do?
I can BORROW a pencil from Ms.Brown. I must go to the demo table located in the front of the room and grab a pencil from the jar. I then must write down the number of the pencil I am borrowing, my name, class period and date on the clipboard.
Provide an example of what a typical day looks like in science class.

2. Assignment (could be notes, lab, activity, or continuing something from the day before)
3. Exit ticket-I must get this stamped (like a boarding pass at customs) in order to leave the classroom.
What do I do when Ms.Brown says it is time to pack up and leave science class?
I am completing my exit ticket for the day. This is done silently unless Ms.Brown says otherwise. Once I get my exit ticket stamped by Ms.Brown I am able to pack up my belongings and wait for the bell. I push in my chair before I leave.
If I need to use the bathroom, get a sip of water or see the nurse what do I do?
I will raise my hand and silently wait for Ms.Brown to come over to me. I will ask permission and then fill out a Smartpass on the Ipad for my destination.
How many points do you get off per day when your assignment is late?
10 points per day.
Example: if you would have gotten a 100 on the assignment and you submit it one day late you would now have a 90. If you submit that same assignment 2 days late you would get an 80.
On days we are using chromebooks, where do I get one which one do I use?
If the assignment requires chromebooks then they will be stacked on the center of my lab station. One at a time, me and my group members will select the chromebook with the number that matches the number on our desks.

I have:
Something to write with (preferably pencil).
My binder.
Any assignments that we are currently working on in class or that are due that day.
A cooperative and respectful attitude.
How do I enter science class?
When the bell rings Ms.Brown will tell us we can go inside the classroom. I will immediately and SILENTLY go to my assigned seat. I will start my bellwork assignment. If I am finished with my bellwork but Ms.Brown hasn't said class has started, I will wait silently for the signal that we are moving on.
What does the classroom look like when we are doing independent work?
If I was absent on a test day or want to retake a test what should I do?
I will ask Ms.Brown to help me "rebook my flight". At this station I will fill out a test retake form and get it signed by a parent (if I am retaking). I will also pick a date to make it up at the rebook my flight station.
What happens if I am not using my chromebook appropriately and being unproductive with my technology?
If chromebook is being used for anything other than the class assignment then it will get confiscated and I will get a warning. If I am caught again using my chromebook inappropriately then I will move up to the next level consequence.
What is the locker policy in science class?
I can not go to my locker during class. I need to bring all my supplies to class. If I forget something at home or in my locker I need to get an extra copy from the "Extra Copy" bin located near the Missed Flight wall and start over.
Oops, I broke the rules. What happens when I do not follow the procedures or meet the expectations in Ms.Brown's class? Please identify the levels.
Our actions have consequences and inappropriate choices will result in negative consequences. The levels are:
Consequence level 1: Verbal warning
Consequence level 2: Conference with Ms.Brown
Consequence level 3: Recess detention
Consequence level 4: Phone call home.
Extreme violations of the rules will result in dismissal from class to 144 or the main office.
What does the classroom look like when we are having a class discussion?
Only the speaker (either is Ms.Brown OR 1 student) is talking. All other students are are silent and listening. If I have a question or something to add then I raise my hand and wait to be called on before speaking. I use respectful and school appropriate language.
Explain the steps you would take to get work if you were absent from school? Present your answer by starting with "step 1"?
Step 1: Go to the missed flight wall.
Step 2: Look in the folder of the day(s) I was missing (example folder labeled Tuesday) in the Absent Work Bin.
Step 3: Take my work home and complete it by the following week. Arrange any makeup tests or labs with Ms.Brown if I missed those.
Step 4: Put my completed work in my class folder that is hanging on the wall at the beginning of class.
It's lab day!!! When do I touch and begin using all this cool stuff on my desk?
DO NOT touch any lab materials until instructed to by Ms.Brown. When it is time to use the materials I must remember what my role is in the group and act accordingly. SAFETY FIRST.
Accidents happen! What do I do if someone in my lab group breaks or spills something in lab?
Do not blame anybody or get mad at your group mates. Accidents happen! Raise your hand and wait for Ms.Brown to come over. If something spilled or broke because we were not behaving properly in lab (rough housing, not following roles, rushing) then we will discuss what changes we need to make to prevent that from happening again and get a warning.
How can I get rewarded in science class? Explain the process.
I can get acknowledged for my good behavior and trying my best in science. By following the procedures and expectations in science class and going above and beyond to do my best, I increase my chances of getting a ticket from Ms.Brown. My ticket will go in the pumpkin bucket. Drawings will happen once a week. If my name gets called I get to pick a prize!
What does the classroom look like during group work?
Students are working at their own lab stations and discussing the assignment with their group members ONLY. Students are following the expectations and obligations of their assigned role in the group. Voice volume is NO LOUDER THAN 2.
