What is a whole number?
a positive number or 0 with no fractional parts(no decimals)
to go up, get larger, or increase
What is an Expression?
a math sentence with a minimum of two numbers or variables and at least one math operation(+,-,x,/), but no equal sign
What is Slope?
a quantity that describes the rate of change and how steep a line is(rise over run, the number in front of x in an equation)
What is a Variable?
a quantity that can change(letters are used to represent these changing, unknown quantities)
What is a negative number?
a number less than 0(a number to the left of 0 on the number line)
What does Descend mean?
to go down, get smaller, or decrease
What is a Ratio?
a relationship/comparison between two numbers(a:b or a/b)
What is Y-Intercept?
The y-value in a linear relationship when x=0, which is the point where the graph touches the y-axis.
What is a Constant?
a value that does NOT change, a fixed value(number that is added(+) to or subtracted(-) from a variable)

the reciprocal of any number is 1 divided by the number, or in a fraction the reciprocal means flipping the numerator and denominator
