Answer: ¨C¨ stands for Creativity- one of the main core values at our school is definitely developing the ability to solve problems in a peaceful way.  We seek to develop your ability to creatively.

ANSWER: You have 2 minutes to get from one class to another

ANswer: Yes you are considered late to school, and class.  Our school day officially starts at 8:20 am

QUESTION: The acronym for the CAMS core values is ¨CARR¨.  What does each letter stand for?

ANSWER: C for Creativity,  A for achievement, R for Respect, and the last R is for Responsibility.

QUESTION: Mr. O is my bestie, can I ask the teacher to see him whenever I want since he is the Dean?

ANSWER: Even if any staff member is your bestie, you can not request to leave a class to see another teacher, support staff or administrator. You may meet with a staff member prior to lunch and ask the teacher to give you a pass to speak to that person during lunch.

QUESTION: Can you wear jeans for uniform bottoms?

ANSWER: No, students are not allowed to wear  jeans, only khaki, grey, or black pants or skirts. Tops can be orange or gray.

Answer: The right side.

Answer: Your coat room class.

Question: I have really bad headache and need to go to the nurse, to get some aspirin, what is the procedure for this situation?

ANSWER: 1st thing is we are not allowed to give you medicine (unless your parent has completed a special form in some cases).   NEXT, you must ask the teacher for a pass and then go to the OFFICE, and get a pass to go to the nurse.  

- In this situation, since you cannot get any medicine, you may need to call your house and have someone pick you up.

QUESTION:  I am always cold, and my teacher likes to keep the AC on.  What is appropriate (suitable) to wear in the classroom?


ANSWER: A uniform appropriate sweater

Question: You have two minutes to get from one class to another, what are realistic things that you are able to do in between classes and still make it to class on time?

Answer: Nothing, two minutes only give you time to exit one class and transition quietly to your next class to start your POD. Stopping in the middle of the hallways to talk to your friends builds up traffic and may make other students later to class.

Question: What are the proper procedures to exiting a classroom?

Answer: When the teacher directs you to line up, you line up in an orderly fashion at the back of the door and exit through the back.

ANSWER: Reach out to a staff member immediately!

Question: Something happened at lunch with my friend and they are upset, my friend and I are going to go to the bathroom to talk (instead of class), is that ok? 

Answer: Unfortunately, it is a safety concern if a teacher does not know where you are. It is important to always report to class on time.

Question: What is the first thing you do when you enter a new class?

Answer: Greet your teacher and start the POD.

Answer: Creativity

Question: What is the point of my advisor?

Answer: The advisor is your “go to” person, if you have questions about your attendance, grades or would like an adult to help you mediate a conversation between another staff member or student go see your advisor to set up a time to do so.

Question: Proper uniform wearing demonstrates which CAMS core value?

Answer: Responsibility, it is your responsibility to make sure your uniform is ready each day and not wearing pieces that are not a part of the uniform. If you forget, respectfully remove those pieces when you are asked to do so.

Answer: Stay to the right. Move quickly, quietly and hands to yourself.
