Helps to keep alveoli inflated and improves oxygenation.

What is the procedure for maintaining/cleaning the splint pan?
60 minutes of physical activity each day.
What is the CDC and AAP recommendation for physical activity for children?
Rare tumor that occurs almost only in children, surgery may or may not be an option, radiation often used to shrink the tumor and prolong life, targeted chemotherapy may be used.
What is a brainstem glioma?
Supportive care, directed care against the inflammation, IVIG to treat inflammation, steroids, fluid restriction

What are implications and POC for children with MIS-C?
Oxygen toxicity (FiO2 >60%), barotrauma to lungs, decreased cardiac output, hard and soft palate injuries, laryngeal dysfunction, tracheal stenosis, ventilator assisted pneumonia.
What are complications of mechanical ventilation?
Provide answers only to questions asked, if you do not know the answer let the surveyor know you will get back to them and communicate the question to the supervisor.
How are we to respond if interviewed by a surveyor during a hospital stay?
Symptoms can include headaches, mental/behavioral changes,unexplained vomiting, loss of movement, hearing loss, speech difficulty, vision problems, balance problems, weakness or numbness.

Corticosteroids, diuretics, seizure medications, pain medications, chemotherapy.
What are common medications for children with brain tumors?
Cardiac-myocarditis and cardiac dysfunction of various types require this level of care.
Why are children with MIS-C admitted to the PICU?
