What's the difference between astonishing vs exotic?
Explain it with examples.
Astonishing: very surprising
Her first novel enjoyed an astonishing success.
Exotic: unusual and exciting because of coming (or seeming to come) from far away.
She has rather a penchant for exotic clothes.
Transform this sentence to the passive:
She writes a book.
A book is WRITTEN by her.

Do we ususally use stative verbs (agree, want, measure) with to or ing?

As a state has no real beginning or end, stative verbs are only used with simple and perfect tenses. They cannot be used with continuous tenses.
I want to eat.
NO : I'M WANTING TO eat.
Of course some of them can be dynamic.
When do you use the passive?
When the receiver of the action is more important than the doer.
When we DO NOT KNOW who did the action or is not important.

Remember BUYING milk.
TO BUY: It means you recalled a task before doing it, so you could complete it.
BUYING: It means you are recalling a memory of an action that you already completed in the past.
Transform this sentence to the passive:
She closed the door.
The door was closed by her.
Even though she saw the bank robbery, she didn’t want to be a w _ _ _ _ _ _ in court.
