What are the benefits in responding to Journal Prompts? As in, why do we write in our notebooks and respond to the questions?

In responding to Journal Prompts, we are practicing our writing skills. Not only that but at the end of the school year, we will have a collection of journal entries that we can look back and respond to. The nice thing about having a collection of journal responses is that if we choose to hold onto our notebooks, we will have a little time capsule of middle school and how we thought/felt about various aspects of life.

Procrastinate: the action of delaying or postponing something. One example might be putting off taking out the trash... if you don't empty it when you're supposed to, it will eventually overflow and become smelly and gross.
