An extreme exaggeration, usually not possible

An advertisement where all of the positive aspects of the product, person, or idea are specifically listed
What is card stacking?
An advertisement that shows a can of Coke with the words "THE BEST JUST GOT BETTER!"
What is glittering generalities?
Describes or modifies a verb
What is an adverb?
My shoelace (knots / nots) have come (lose / loose)!
What is "knots" and "loose"?
An author gives human qualities to an animal or inanimate object
What is personification?
An ad supporting a politician in an worker's outfit, often either participating in a job or out in nature.
What is plain folks?
An advertisement where two cell phone companies are comparing their coverage, where one is clearly better than the other.
What is name-calling?
A word that shows direction, time, place, or location
What is a preposition?
(Latter / Later), because they weren't paying attention, they will ask "(Whose / Who's) line is it anyway?"

The message the author wants to convey
An advertisement which tries to take a feeling that you have about one thing and equate that feeling with their product, person, or idea

An advertisement where Jennifer Lopez asks Ben Affleck for a glazed donut in the drive through at Dunkin Donuts
What is testimonial?
