A series circuit has one path for the energy, while a parallel has multiple.

Explain the relationship between heat and efficiency.  

When energy is used and transformed, energy is lost to heat.  Efficiency is the ratio of useful energy to the total energy absorbed.  There would be 100% efficiency without the loss of energy to heat.

Temperature is the average kinetic energy of the particles, while heat is thermal energy in transit.

It is the magnetic field around the Earth, and it is shaped and affected by solar wind.

Magnetism has poles, while electricity has charged.  Poles can't be alone, while electrons can be alone.  Magnetism needs electrons to be aligned, while there is no alignment needed for electricity.

Specific heat capacity is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of a substance by 1 degree Celsius. For example, to raise water's temperature by one degree you need 4.186 J which is very high compared to other substances.

It is the difference between magnetic and geographic North.  This is because, over time, the Earth's field varies, changing the location of the poles.
