Explain the concept of responsibility by focusing on the significance of unexploded cluster bombs for children.
"They look attractive to children; anything shaped like a ball is fun for a child in a country as poor as Laos to play with. Many people in Lao are poor and children don’t have many toys to play with" (Convery). This source makes the argument from the perspective of children which shows the negative impacts of UXO from our local context. When so many children are affected from the actions of our previous generations, it is time to do something about it, even just creating awareness or educating people would be effective goals. There is a responsibility from all of us- MYP students, NGOs, to systems of power, to solve this issue.
