No, disregard the expiry date the covrage is active in the system when you rec a new permit you will get a new card.
Your caller is notifying her and her spouse have rec'd their new permits but not for their dependent children. Are the children eligible?
If the Stat 1 or 2 are on a Work Permit that has been extended but the dependants have not yet received theirs:
All dependants listed on the same account, regardless of their permit type can be extended for 12 months from their document end date, provided they have made application to extend their permit prior to the expiry date of their previous document

No, he has already been extended with IRCC, 90 day extensions are only provided as courtesy coverage if they do not rec'd that auth letter.
Your caller has notified the only documentation from IRCC they have rec'd is a denial letter, what should you do?
Coverage is cancelled the date of the denial if known or immediately, even if they are appealing.

If they have mailed or couriered their request to extend, get the tracking information and receipt #. *
*If they only mailed or couriered the day before or day of expiry, we cannot extend. Over the phone. They can send in their confirmation letter from IRCC when they receive it.

Possbily they must send in, confirmation of application a recent pay stub and a letter from their employer they are contuning work for that period of 90 days
Should we provide a 90 extension while they are waiting for their auth letter to be processed?
No, they are eligible and will be reisntated the day after their expiry date with that letter meaning they will have no gap in coverage, if they have bills or have paid for health services once coverage has been reisntated they can re sumbit/ claim for reimbursement.
Can a single student be granted a second 90 day extension?
No, if they are still studying they are only allowed one
