This Republican would be the 43rd president of the USA. He would be in office during 9/11 and would unite the nation when he declared a “War on Terror” in 2001.
George W Bush
This was a school shooting in 1999. It resulted in 13 deaths and 20 injuries, and would help spark the endless debate over gun control and the 2nd Amendment.
Columbine Shooting
This would occur in 1992 after the acquittal of 4 police officers involved in the beating of an African American man named Rodney King. The results of this event were 60 deaths and over 1 billion dollars of damage.
LA Riots of 1992
This was the name of the foreign policy mission America would set for itself after the September 11th attacks. This would lead to America becoming heavily involved in the middle east from 2001-2021.
The War on Terror
This group would come to power in Afghanistan from 1996-2001. After 9/11, America (and its allies) would invade Afghanistan and remove this group from power.
The Taliban
This was passed very shortly after the September 11th attacks in 2001. It would drastically increase the punishments for terrorist activities/sympathizers in the USA, and would allow the government to listen to, watch, and search any person that they “believed to be a terrorist threat.”
