Showing up on time.
Level 1 - it is expected students show up on time to school because it is courteous to the teachers and other students.
Angry and screaming in the living room.
Level 4 - it's scary, it makes people nervous, it's TOO LOUD and hurts people's ears.
Stealing the work computer.
Level 5 - that is theft, and you might be charged for that! Being charged means you could get arrested.
Making wild or strange hand gestures.
Hitting a friend.
Level 5 - Your friend might get hurt and you might get in trouble! This is assault and you might have the police show up.
Throwing rocks at lockers.
Level 5 - it is against the law to throw things/cause property damage.
Singing an annoying song.
Level 3 - it's a little annoying to the other people in your house, but not illegal or scary.
Working cooperatively with your coworkers.
Level 2 - your coworkers will want to keep working with you.
Look both ways when you cross the street.
Level 1 - it is expected people will look both ways before crossing the street. And it's for safety!
Not respecting others' boundaries.
Level 4 - It makes people angry, frustrated, maybe even scared.
Saying "excuse me" or "sorry" when accidentally bumping into someone in the hallway during passing period.
Level 2 - it is polite to apologize when making small mistakes.
Throwing objects and stuff is getting broken.
Level 5 - someone could get hurt! Could cause property damage. BOTH of these things are against the law and may require police or other emergency involvement.
Talking to yourself at a talking or yelling volume.
Level 3 - it's not dangerous, but is a little odd to your coworkers or boss.
Jumping at strangers.
Level 4 behavior - this is scary to others!
Playing loud music around friends/family.
Level 3 - it isn't odd, scary or illegal, but it COULD be very annoying.
Running around screaming during a fire drill.
Level 4 - this behavior is unexpected and might be scary to others or might make them nervous or frustrated.
Following directions from mom.
Level 1 - it is expected that you follow your parents' directions.
Swearing at other people working.
Level 4 - It scares others and makes them uncomfortable.
Saying a casual "hi" to people as you walk past them if they make eye contact with you and seem friendly.
Level 2 - it makes others happy to have a nice greeting.
Talk with them in a nice tone, not too loud or quiet.
Level 1 - it is expected conversation style with friends and family.
Playing loud music while walking down the hall.
Level 3 - it's not illegal, and it doesn't make people nervous or scared, but it's a little unusual/annoying to others.
Leaving other people's snacks alone and getting my own snacks instead.
Level 2 - it makes others happy when you leave their special snacks alone and eat your own instead.
Doing your job.
Level 1 - it is expected you do your job according to job title when you're at work.
Hitting a stranger.
Level 5 - if you hit strangers, they might call the police and you could get arrested.
Saying hello to your friends/family.
Level 2 - it is polite to greet friends and family.
