Rakesh’s mother gets very sick and dies, which causes their family to go through a very tough time. Shortly after Rakesh’s mother’s death, his father becomes quite ill. Rakesh’s father is no longer able to take care of himself; Rakesh shows his love and devotion to his father by taking care of his father.

Rakesh’s father grows angry because Rakesh forbids his father from eating sweets and restricts him to bed rest. His father becomes angry and grumpy, and begins to feel that Rakesh does not care about him anymore. Rakesh’s father feels unloved, and wishes that he could just die. He doesn’t want to be on his medication anymore; he just wants it all to end.
