The Holy Spirit gave Peter this special power that we do not even have a record of Jesus having.

This Saint preached at Pentecost with great power and authority.

This happened at the Beautiful Gate with Saints Peter and John.

As the Church grew, the first deacons served the church by doing this.

On this feast, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to empower the Church. “But you shall receive the power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the the earth.” Acts 1:8
What is Pentecost?
This Saint persecuted the Church, saw Christ face-to-face, became a missionary and eventually wrote 14 books in the New Testament.
Who is Paul, formally known as Saul?
When the Holy Spirit came down these appeared over the heads of the apostles and allowed them to preach in many languages.
This Saint was given exactly the right words at exactly the right time when asked to give and answer for his faith. He was hated by his enemies and died loving them, just like Jesus.
Who is Saint Stephen.
While Saul was trying to stamp out Christianity, this deacon of the Church fled to Samaria to preach to the Samaritans and helped the Church to grow rather than deminish.
