DRO

Differential Reinforcement of Other Behaviors

100

no longer reinforcing a previously reinforced behavior

What is extincion

100

Follows a behavior which increases the likelihood the behavior will happen again in the future

reinforcement

100
This strategy involves differential reinforcments of successive approximations to a terminal behavior.
What is shaping
100

a type of request

What is a mand

200

SD

Discriminative Stimulus

200

Stimulus: "sit down". Response: client begins to sit down after 20 seconds. Latency = 20 seconds.

Latency

200

follows a behavior and decreases the likelihood the behavior will occur again in the future

punishment

200

What are the types of discontinuous measurement?

whole interval, partial interval and momentary time sampling

200

Teacher: "Twinkle twinkle little" Child: "star" This is an example of

intraverbal

300

DTT

discrete trial training

300

What is a preference assessment?

A preference assessment is a method to identify highly preferred items or actions that can be used as reinforcers.

300

Behavior should be described in ________ and _______ terms

observable and measurable

300

What are the different types of chaining?

Forward, backward chaining and total task chaining

300

What is the difference between duration and latency recording?

Latency is how long it takes to start the behavior and duration is how long the behavior lasts.

400

FR

Fixed Ratio

400

In this technique, a skill is broke down into small, "discrete" pieces that are taught to the client.

discrete trial teaching (DTT)

400

What is errorless teaching?

Preventing a learner from erroring by immediately prompting the correct response

400

What is a prompt?

A cue to engage the learner in the correct response

400

These are the four functions of behavior

escape, attention, automatic reinforcement and access to tangibles

500

MO

Motivating Operation

500

What is naturalistic teaching?

This teaching involves "learning through play" and takes advantage of intrinsically motivating items and materials in the natural environment (school, store, house, etc.). Look for "teachable moments" when you see a child is particularly excited or interested in something in the environment.

500

What is the teaching procedure that involves prompting a correct response after an error

error correction

500

What is the most intrusive prompt?

full physical prompting
500

Describe BACB Supervision Standards for RBTs.

Supervision must be, at minimum, 5% of the total hours spent providing services per month. At least two supervisions should be face-to-face, and one should be direct observation of the RBT as they provide services.
