Child/Family and Behavior Technician to be screened following the process identified in this document.
Behavior Technician to prep for the session the following:
H&S Bag: Gloves, hand sanitizer, sanitizing cleaner, paper towel, tissues, thermometer and extra masks.
IPAD for Catalyst entries and communication to the ABA Supervisor and lead technicians.
Any other programming documents or items.
All items must be checked out per protocol.
Upon return, Behavior Technician to ensure that the check in process is completed for items removed from the office and any maintenance or stock issues are reporting immediately to the BCBA or lead technician. Lead Technician should resupply the bag when it is returned to stock.
ABA Supervisor to check in with the Behavior Technician and the family on a monthly basis to review progress.
Who maintains the rescheduling log and determines the limitations? How often is a reviewed?

How often should the tech attendance be reviewed? By who?
Tech meeting attendance records are to be reviewed by the lead technicians monthly, with discrepancies and attendance concerns to be discussed with the Office Manager (OM) quarterly.
Who is responsible for the CTWUs?
CTWU are to be posted 12 hours before the weekly technician meeting by the BCBA on the appropriate team's channel.
After each week, signatures from each tech need to be gathered by the lead behavior technician showing that the tech was trained over the new updates.
How much time is needed for a tech to change their schedule?
Change requests must be submitted in writing at least 2 weeks prior for approval and an additional 2 weeks for implementation.
What information is housed in a CTWU?

Bonus: CMHs want to ensure all treating party are up to date to give the best standard of care.
How many minutes are require for a treating clinician before they can take a reschedule? Does this include LTs?
Therapist must be allowed 15 minutes unscheduled time after notification of a rescheduled client from another therapist. For evening clients, Front Desk will pre-notify therapists in the morning/early afternoon of possible appointments pending confirmation so that they can prep accordingly.
How many meetings are techs allowed to miss?
Techs may miss 1 meeting per month, 3 meetings total per quarter before entering a sanction level. However, techs that miss a meeting are still required to make up that meeting during clinic hours by reviewing meeting notes, watching recordings of the meeting, or any additional make-up activities created by the lead technicians.
How long does does it take to train the tech to be a level 3 tech?
Orientation and training will be completed within the first 5 weeks from date of employment.
What are the qualifications for an In Home session?
The provision for In-Home ABA Services is a clinical decision and should be initiated by the ABA Supervisor. Therapy may occur in the home at no more than 50% of the student’s existing clinic hours.
Three of the four must apply:
Child has not demonstrated generalization to the home environment and ABA Supervisor has attempted all other viable strategies to promote and assist the family with maintenance and generalization.
Child’s rate of behavior remains at low to zero rates in clinic but is variable at home.
Child exhibits novel or severe behaviors in the home not observed in the clinic.
Child is not expected to progress at an expected skill acquisition rate without continuity of treatment across clinic and home environments.
Client must have been receiving ABA services in-clinic for a minimum of three consecutive (3) months prior to adding in-home services.
Family must have three (3) or less instances of COVID-related absences within the past three (3) months barring uncontrolled circumstances which will be at the discretion of the Office Manager.
Client’s treatment team must CAP regarding desire to move to in home services.

How long does it take for a master change to take effect
minimum 4 BDs. Expectation is to be resolved within 2 weeks.
BONUS: Can clients be cancelled for non therapeutic appointments?
Client appointments should not be cancelled to schedule a non-therapeutic appointment. Treatment Appointments take priority over scheduled informal meetings not already mastered on a therapist’s schedule.
Does the 5th week of the month for tech staff meeting differ from the other weeks? why?
YES....For months that there is a 5th week, an additional meeting will be held to allow techs to make-up a missed meeting from earlier in the month. If a tech has missed 1 or more meetings that month, this make-up meeting is mandatory. This meeting is not mandatory for techs who have not missed a meeting that month, but those techs may attend if they wish to gain further training and will be paid for attending at the indirect rate.
How do you maintain a level 3 tech?

Should a child's service be cancelled for another child's serivce?
Appointments should not be cancelled to schedule another child’s services.
What are the disciplinary actions should the tech attendance requirements are not met?
The following disciplinary actions will be taken with individual techs if attendance requirements are not being met:
If missing 3 or more meetings per quarter for the first time: Level 1 Sanction.
If missing 3 or more meetings per quarter for 2 consecutive quarters or making no discernable effort to change behavior following the first sanction: Level 2 Sanction.
If missing 3 or more meetings per quarter for 3 consecutive quarters or making no discernable effort to change behavior following the second sanction: Level 3 Sanction and potential termination of employment.
After you become a RBT, what your continuing requirements the must be maintain per the BACB?
Supervising BCBA or BCaBA must be BACB 8-hr Supervisory certified.
Every RBT must be supervised by a BCBA or BCaBA no less than 5% of their direct clinical hours on a monthly basis.
Must meet face to face with their supervisor twice per month.
Documentation must be retained for 7 years by both supervisor and RBT.
Bonus WHAT HAPPEN IF IS LAPSES?
If HR does not receive log within two-month period, HR will schedule meeting with BCBA and RBT to resolve issue.
If not resolved, EIP process may be required.
What happens if the techs' QBS Cert relapses?
If a technician’s certification lapses, they may not continue using QBS Safety Care until completion of the recertification training. A three-month grace period is allowed by QBS for obtaining a recertification. If the grace period expires, technician must complete the full 12-hour training.
