This member resides in Florham Park in an apartment with just 1 other person. Staff check on them each day and even bring them to program on her scheduled days. If staff are not available accesslink is their other means of transportation

This member is such a hard worker. It can be challenging to understand them at times.
One of their more recent goals is to be more readily understood. They take speech 2x a week and is currently awaiting a new speech device to help them communicate.

Even at just 2 days a week, this member knows how to make ther presence known. In an attempt to return their life to normalcy, they will quickly pace around the WAE Center repeating routines while disrupting their peers and worrying staff. A PRN being adminstered at the start of their behaviors is best, especially since it can take more than an hour to become effective.

This member is known for always having something to say. Having their thoughts and opinions heard is inportant to them. So is being liked and admired.
Setting boundaries is key to getting them closer to achieving their social skills goals

This member lives with their father in Irvington. They had hoped to find their own apartment one day, but has back pedaled each time we've tried to intervene. At this point, its on them to make the first move toward gaining independence.

This member has had a few slip and falls and even got hit by a car (at least 1x that we know of)...their family has opted out, but if anything were to happen to them, we call anyway
Who is Grace
Not listed on their PCPT, this member dreams of a career in fashion design and cosmetology. A few hiccups have slowed them down, but they have proven to be persistent in achieving their goal.

This behavior has not been documented on their plan, but continues to occur. If they don't want to do something, they immediately start to complain of arm pain.
Due to their lack of verbal communication, we as their caretakers, have to automatically assume the worse and ask that this member be seen by a doctor. Each time, the results some back as negative for injury.

Smart, artistic, approachable, funny(depending on who you ask) is how you can describe this person.
While at WAE, This member doesn't give anyone room to share and be themselves. More often than not, they will see the faults in others, without recognizing their own negative social behavior
They might think they take directives well, but in my opinion (this is Anthonice speaking)... this person has alot of personal growth do to. Being an active listener is one thing this member needs to work on.
Who is Zachary P
This member graduated from West Orange high school and lives at home with their parents and siblings. Routine is important to this member, so best believe the habits they have here, they do something similar at home.
Who Is Yinka
This members guardian is also their younger brother and has decided to Opt In to receve notifications of their beloved older brother. The guardians recognizes that this members' health is deterioting, he doesn't want any extraordinary measures being taken.
Who is Jay
This gentle giant doesn't talk much but also has alot to say. With their ability to follow directions and learn routine, their family feels they would be well suited in a food service related job.

Respecting boundaries continues to be an issue for this person. They have been known to be overly helpful in a given situation to the point where staff have to ask them to "focus on yourself"
Being either the center of attention or inserting themselves in an incident will result in harm and making whatever the inicident is, even worse.

This member is so open and honest about their feelings. They like what they like; hate what they hate... and have absolutely no problem letting you know how they feel, whether appropriate or not.
Be prepared for a tantrum when things don't go their way!

This member has their own apartment in South Orange where they have been for many years. They don't have a staff person supervising their home, and even if they did its doubtful they would find space for themselves. Especially with all the toys and plushies everywhere.

This member will complain of the smallest of ouchies... They won't be able to focus on anything else until we provide some sort of OTC/PRN.
The parents know their child and to save themselves from recieving a phone call everyday, they have Opted out of any minor incident or injury.

This member just wants to be seen as the adult they are. They question directives and don't understand why their peers behave in the way they do.
Coming to them in a clear calm voice while also reminding them of what is appropriate to say to others while they are frustrated is best. If they feel "put down" they will quickly try to make you feel the same

This member lives at home with their parents, sibling and the siblings significant other, sounds like alot people?, They also have a dog.
They have a plan in place for their older sibling to be the guardian/caretaker when the parents are no longer able to care for them.

This member is the quiet, go with the flow type. Speaks when spoken to, and is ok with sharing their opinion when asked and if they are familiar with the topic. As long as we respect their "habits" they are ok with us.
Their goal (really their sister) is to learn some basic reading skills
Who is Linford
We as caregivers should be so proud of this member. They have made such good progress towards active participation, adjusting to their schedule (and the changes that occur), and is often down to trying new things.
Every once in a while though, with a challenging situation, we will see some objects being thrown, head banging against heard surfaces, and even some hair pulling.

her attitude can be off putting, but at least this member is honest.
