What is Jackson West Medical Center? We went live on October 22, 2024. It's officially been over a year since our first Jackson Go live!
This feature finally went live on November 4th at Jackson enterprise-wide.
What is PCM?
It took over a year to deliver PCM to Jackson. The journey began with developing an automated audit report to monitor and address HIPAA violation concerns—a solution now generally available to all clients. We also introduced Persona-based Access Controls, enabling administrators to manage access and settings by job title rather than individually or at the organization level. Additionally, we implemented creative configuration strategies to handle unique ADT scenarios, including patient merges.
This requirement surfaced at kickoff, never made it into the contract, we eventually offered it at no cost… and then the customer decided they didn’t need it after all.

This delivery approach, mandated by Jackson leadership despite not aligning with TigerConnect best practices, was fully out of scope and resulted in a tangled, labor-intensive process packed with weekly checkpoints, endless tracking tools, and more lessons learned than anyone asked for
What is training schedulers one-by-one?
TigerConnect ended up hosting 124 individual TCPS training sessions led by our team — not including the sessions Jackson ran themselves or the earlier community-hospital trainings.
Normally, we train scheduler teams in groups, followed by an open Q&A. That model has worked beautifully in many enterprise deployments and is considered TCPS best practice.
But at Jackson, the approach shifted to one-at-a-time scheduler training, which significantly increased effort, time, and complexity.

This TigerConnect product required two new integrations to meet Jackson's requirements. Bonus for naming the two systems that we integrated with.
What is TCPS?
1. MD Staff for auto-provisioning providers
2. AMCOM/SPOK, a direct scheduling integration to auto-create jobs in TCPS

What is going live at Memorial?
FPU stands for "First Product Use" which is defined in the contract as follows
Each of the Subscriptions indicated above shall commence upon First Productive Use (“FPU”) of the respective service, which shall mean 48 hours after the date on which the software for the respective service is first available to perform the intended function of the software in a live production environment.
