Rainforest Residents
I live high in the rainforest trees. I swing from branch to branch using my arms and tail. I wear brown fur and love to eat bananas.

I slither quietly on the forest floor and wear bright patterns that warn others I’m dangerous.
What is a snake?
I fly low over the desert searching for prey. I wear sharp eyes to spot movement and strong wings to glide in the heat.
What is a desert hawk or eagle?
I glide through the water with my flippers, wear a smooth shell, and lay my eggs on sandy beaches.
What is a sea turtle?
I move slowly on the ice, wear thick white fur and fat to keep warm, and am a strong swimmer.
What is a polar bear?
I have long legs and a long neck, wear brown spots to blend into tall grass.
What is a giraffe?
I crawl on the forest floor. I move slowly, blending in with the leaves thanks to my green coat.
What is a chameleon?
I burrow under the hot sand to stay cool. I scurry on four small legs and wear big ears to release heat.
What is a desert fox?
I move by squirting water to jet forward and wear soft skin that can change color.
What is an octopus?
I swim under the ice, wear smooth skin and blubber, and have tusks to break through ice.
What is a walrus?
I move in large herds, wear stripes that confuse predators.
What is a zebra?
I have colorful feathers, fly through the canopy, and use my beak to crack nuts and fruit.
What is a macaw or parrot?
I’m small, mostly come out at night, and wear a tough shell on my back to protect me from heat and enemies.
What is a desert tortoise?
I’m a mammal that swims, wear thick blubber to stay warm, and breathe through a blowhole.
What is a whale?
I run fast on icy land, wear a white coat in winter and brown in summer.
What is an arctic fox?
I’m a fast runner, wear tan fur to blend in, and can reach speeds up to 70 mph.
What is a cheetah?
I hang upside down from tree branches, move very slowly, and have algae growing in my fur to help me blend in.

I’m a bird that can go days without water, fly over wide deserts, and store food in my throat pouch.
What is a vulture?
I use my sharp teeth to hunt, wear a tough layer of skin, and am known as the top predator of the sea.
What is a shark?
I live under the sea ice, wear blubber and smooth skin, and sing to communicate underwater.
What is a beluga whale?
I burrow underground, wear fur to stay warm, and pop up to watch for predators.
