Step 1: Must have a common denominator, Least Common Factor is 8, therefore 3/4 must be changed to eighths. (whatever I do the bottom i must do to the top) Multiply numerator and denominator by 2. 3/4=6/8.

Step 2: -2/8 + 6/8 = 4/8 or 1/2 (Positive because 6 out of 8 is more than 2 out of 8 pieces)
