The parent must receive this many days of prior notice for an IEP meeting. If the parent does not show for the first attempt, the team must provide this amount of days for the 2nd attempt. If the parent does not show the for 2nd attempt, the team may hold the meeting. The Notice of Meeting must be sent to the parent for both attempts.

What does LRE stand for?
Once permission is received to evaluate the team has this many calendar days to complete the evaluation and determine eligibility.

What are the areas of a Specific Learning Disability?
This page of the IEP must be completed if the student will turn 16 within the year of the IEP (or younger if the team determines it is appropriate). It helps prepare the student for after high school, and it covers the areas of employment, Education/Training and independent living.

What is Other Health Impaired?
These 2 documents include the parent's right to participate in all meetings, to examine all educational records, and to obtain an independent educational evaluation (IEE) of the child. These 2 documents also include the 10 areas of rights the parent has as a parent of a child with a disability. Both must be given to the parent at least 1 time per year.

The case manager has this many days from the date of the IEP to mail the parent a copy.
What is 20 days?
This section is in SMART format, and it provides information as to what kind of data will be collected throughout the course of the IEP. This section also drives what services the student will receive.
What are the goals?
1) Inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory or health factors. 2) Inability to build or maintain satisfactory interpersonal relationships with peers and teachers. 3) Inappropriate types of behavior or feelings under normal circumstances. 4) General pervasive mood of unhappiness or depression. 5) Tendency to develop physical symptoms or fears associated with personal or social problems.
What are the 5 qualifying areas of an Emotional Disturbance?
This refers to the setting where a child with a disability can receive an appropriate education designed to meet his or her educational needs, alongside peers without disabilities to the maximum extent appropriate.

IEP, Review of Existing Data, Manifestation, but NOT EDM. But... Best Practice would be any when a student in his/her building is involved.
