Transfer Day Program is for admitted transfer students. They register for classes and are able to take tours of campus.

If a student wants to apply as an incoming freshman and wants to double major or add a minor, can they put that down on their application?
No. Welcome2ISU will only allow a student to apply for one major. When the student is enrolled on campus, they can speak with their academic advisor on adding additional majors/minors.

If a student has trouble uploading their personal statement, what should they do and where do they send it?
They should upload it as a PDF or .DOC (NOT .docx) and email it to admissions@ilstu.edu with Name, Birthday, and UID # if known.

How do incoming freshman qualify for an application fee waiver, and how do they go about sending it to our office? What about transfer students?
Incoming freshman must print out the last page of the application, which can also be found under "Counselors" on the Admissions website. The counselor must check that the student qualifies for a free/reduced lunch.
Transfer students must send in the first page of their FAFSA saying their EFC is 0.

Can a student defer their application from Fall to Spring? How about Summer? What about next Fall?
If they can, do they have to reapply?
A student will have to reapply, but does NOT have to pay the application fee is it is less than 3 consecutive semesters.
Ex) Fall to Spring (1) Summer (2) and Fall (3)

Fall to Fall- must pay fee
