What are two things undocumented students need to know about paying for college?
Undocumented students can attend and pay for college, but they need to plan in advance. In North Carolina public universities, undocumented students must pay out-of-state tuition. They cannot receive state or federal financial aid, but scholarships are available! Many of these scholarships are highly competitive so students need to be on top of their grades starting in the 9th grade. Since September, students with a DACA permit can pay in-state tuition at NC community colleges through their employer.
