What is municipal infrastructure?
This group guides investment decisions across services and/or asset portfolios.
What is Board/elected? (senior leadership also accepted)
Typically the first step with a client, we use this to assess their current practices and chart a path forward for improvement.
What is maturity assessment/roadmap?
Many levels of government are providing these with the requirement that progress is made in asset management.
What is grant funding (or Gas Tax)?
People live and work inside of these, and we have a team dedicated to them.
What are facilities (buildings)?
This group conducts financial analysis to project the impact of investment decisions.
What is Finance?
What is Strategy, Policy and/or Governance?
Examples of this, such as anticipated sea level rise, increased precipitation, and temperature rise are making us rethink the way we build and renew assets.
What is climate change?
These major assets treat drinking water and wastewater.
What are treatment plants?
This group focuses on the day-to-day operations and maintenance of assets.
What is Operations?
A complete document that defines goals and objectives, levels of service, current asset condition and performance, lifecycle management activities, and financial and funding plan.
What is an Asset Management Plan?
The gap between asset investment needs and available funding (often touted in news headlines).
This sector operates complex assets (facilities, equipment, fleet, infrastructure) that enable air and marine transportation.
What are ports or airports?
This group supports spatial or other data analysis or entry, and is often involved in maintaining the asset inventory.
What are GIS/Data Analysts?
This typically involves helping clients sort out their software for things like asset inventory, work management, or investment planning.
What is technology management?
These assets are not built and deliver ecosystem services such as erosion prevention, water/air filtration, and drainage.
What are natural assets?
These centralize the heating or cooling for a neighbourhood or community, and often do not have an asset management plan in place.
What are district energy systems?
This group is focused on assessing options, feasibility, and design of new assets, upgrades and typically renewals.
What is Engineering?
Identification of criteria and approach to prioritize investment across services and asset portfolios.
What is Investment Prioritization?
This is more important than the assets themselves?
