How do we get a pencil when we need one?
Put your old one in the dull bin, then grab a sharp one.
What is the social contract?
How we agree to treat each other.
How do we walk in the hallway?
At a level 0 in a line.
Where do we turn work in when it's finished?
The blue/red basket
When can you talk to friends?
Before class starts, snack, during lunch/recess, when we're not working.
How do we transition?
We wait for the signal word and then move quickly and quietly.
Who follows the social contract?
All students, teachers, and guests.
When is it okay to be in the hallway?
When switching classes, walking to specials or lunch, and when I have my teacher's permission.
Where do we put work that is incomplete?
Incomplete Work folder
How do you find a partner?
When is it okay to use the bathroom?
Before class starts or during independent work times.
How do we handle conflict?
We talk about the problem and come up with solutions together.
Where do we go for a fire?
Out the recess doors to the field.
What are Must Do's and May Do's?
Must Dos HAVE TO be done in order. May Dos are a choice when all work is finished.
When working with a partner, who is in charge of following directions?
Both partners.
What are the bathroom rules?
Do your job quickly, clean up after yourself, get back to class.
What is the Golden Rule?
Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Where do we go for a lock down?
Against the cubbies or in the closet.
How do we ask for help?
Ask 3 friends first, before asking Mrs. Rayner.
What voice level do you use when working on your own? When working with a partner?
Level 0 on own or level 1 with a partner.
What are our jobs at the end of class.
Turn in any work, clean up all materials, push in chair, line up.
What happens if you aren't following the social contract?

If there is an emergency, what's the most important thing you can do?
Stop immediately and get quiet so I can hear directions.
What are DoM's? Where do we keep them?
Our demonstration of math mastery. We keep them in our numbered folders.
How do we work with a partner?
Both partners read directions and talk about the answers. Both partners are writing.
